Department Introduction
The Foreign Languages Department offers the teaching and research of the following languages: English, Russia, German, French, Japanese and Korean (delivered either as the first or second foreign language). The teaching of these languages is conducted at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, involving over 16,000 non-English major undergraduate students, 6,000 non-English major postgraduate students and doctoral students. The department also provides an English major bachelor program: English, and three English major master programs: English Language & Literature: Foreign Linguistics & Applied Linguistics: and Master of Translation and Interpretation, with a full-time enrolment of over 117 postgraduate students and 343 undergraduate students.
